Note:  The Jets looked like they had another win on the board last night against the Penguins but a poor third goal tied things up and the visitor’s took this one with a late goal with time winding down in the final frame to win it 4-3.  Today the Jets will have to forget last night’s game as they practice today at 12 noon as they prepare to face the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow night at Bell MTS Place.

Note II:  The Moose are in San Diego to kick off a six-game road trip which begins tonight against Chase De Leo and his Gulls team.  Manitoba has been joined by goalie Mikhail Berdin as well as defencemen Jacob Cederholm and Justin Woods after they were recalled on Tuesday.  Puck drop is at 9 pm and you can hear Mitch Peacock’s call on TSN 1290 Winnipeg which starts at 8:45 pm.

Note III:  Tune in for a slightly abbreviated episode of NHL This Week tonight on TSN Radio 1290 starting at 7 pm CT. The show will end 15 minutes early at 8:45 pm CT as Mitch Peacock will take over with the Manitoba Moose Pre-game show. Former NHL defenceman Mike Commodore will join the boys on the show tonight.

TSN: Laine’s five-goals won Chris Haley a cool million. With Patrik Laine scoring five-goals against the Blues on Saturday night, Chris Haley was the winner of the Safeway Score and Win promotion that earned him $1-million. He joined Sara Orlesky to talk about his initial reaction and the whirlwind last few days.

TSN: Hellebuyck cost the Jets the game. Connor Hellebuyck only faced five shots in the third period but two of them found the back of the net. Craig Button explains why two weak goals allowed the Penguins back into it and it was a game Winnipeg played well enough to win.
