Note: Stay Tuned to Illegalcurve.com as we plan our own major announcement.
As you saw on today’s Dixie Drama, respected Globe and Mail journalist Stephen Brunt just reported the following:
An agreement to sell the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers to a Winnipeg group which plans to relocate the franchise to the Manitoba capital is done.
Now we will continue to monitor the situation and will give you any updates as they happen.
Tune into Sports Radio 1290 Stephen Brunt is on the air right now.
Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet is now confirming Brunt’s report.
Remis from the R-desk is down at Portage & Main. We will have pictures up soon and already have some on @illegalcurve twitter.
Feel free to leave a comment on how you feel about this potential news.
I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am.
And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Bell MTS Place to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
