Note II:  The Moose will continue their road trip as they head to Toronto to play the first of two against the Marlies on this three games in three day road trip.  Puck drop at Ricoh Coliseum is at 3 pm CST.

Note III:  Starting at 9 am set your radio dial to TSN 1290 Winnipeg so you can listen to three hours of The Illegal Curve Hockey Show covering the latest Winnipeg Jets and NHL news.  Plenty of great guests sprinkled throughout the program.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Five keys to Jets vs Blues.  Ken’s big matchup is Connor Hellebyck vs Jake Allen. His five keys include: 1) Turning the corner. 2) Heating up. 3) Back on board. 4) Schenn-sational. 5) Armed and dangerous.

Winnipeg Sun:  Tough schedule ahead for JetsThere has been plenty of schedule talk this year but it doesn’t seem nearly as onerous as what the team had to deal with last season.

Winnipeg Sun:  Maurice sets all-time loss markNot exactly the type of thing you want to be recognized for.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets need strong start in series against Blues.  (Paywall).  While there is plenty of time left in the season picking up points (and perhaps more importantly confidence) against a division rival cannot be minimized.

Winnipeg Free Press:  C’mon in off the freezing window ledge, Jets fans; they stunk, but they don’t stink.  (Paywall). I was chatting with Moose coach Pascal Vincent the other day and he spoke about how when things are going well your team isn’t doing quite as well as you think and similarly when losing things aren’t quite so bad as they may seem.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Knowing where to draw a line in the ice.  (Paywall).  This was a good article from Jeff on how the Jets got things turned around in the faceoff department this season.

The Hockey News:  Maurice matches all-time record for lossesIf you’d like to hear the coach acknowledging this ‘achievement’ he spoke about it during yesterday’s media availability.

TSN:  Maurice hopeful Jets can leave game against Chicago behindWatch the tape and move past it.  This team cannot afford to dwell on any one loss in the same manner you don’t get overly excited about a win.

Illegal Curve:  Winnipeg Jets Practice ReportGet totally caught up with all the news from the Jets practice at the IcePlex before they left for Missouri.

Jets audio:

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Back-to-back will be playoff atmosphere against the Blues.  Jets d-man Josh Morrissey joined the Big Show following the team’s 5-1 loss to Chicago to discuss how players come out flat in games as well as the magnitude of the team’s upcoming home and home set with the St. Louis Blues.
