The Jets came off a big 7-4 win last night over the Golden Knights and decided to switch things up to off ice workouts/video today instead of holding a practice.

Practice notes:

No skate.

Starting goalie:

Coach Maurice confirms that Connor Hellebuyck is back in the net tomorrow against the Senators.

Health Update:

The coach was asked about Steve Mason.  “Skated today.  Skated with Wade Flaherty, skated hard and skated well.  He will travel with us.  And we’re hopeful in the next few days that he gets green lighted to get pucks shot at his head again.”

Coach Maurice:  On not needing to keep his team grounded.  On the points the team has achieved.  Does he get the sense that they have surprised some teams?  Is the team surprised?  Did he expect this?  Why is the team more  comfortable in tight, close games this season?  On Matt Hendricks.  On Kyle Connor.  What does he expect from the Senators?  On Hendricks and analytics.  Update on Steve Mason.  Will Comrie get a game?
