The Jets roll continues as they have now gone 3/3 in their division with tonight’s 5-2 win over the Stars.  Mark Scheifele scored the 10th hat trick for the Jets and Patrik Laine scored to break out of his goaless streak.  The play of Connor Hellebuyck continues to be the story that doesn’t seem to be garnering the headlines as the Jets netminder moves to 7-0-1 on the season with a 1.92 GAA and a .938 save %.

The Jets move to 4-0-2 in their last six games and 7-1-2 since they dropped the two games to start the season.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Coach Maurice:  Assessing the game.  Dealing with the adversity in the game.  On Patrik Laine’s game.  On the Jets power play.  Playing physical but avoiding penalty calls.  On how the Stars viewed the Jets prior to the game.  On the disallowed Tanev goal.  On how the Jets handled the disallowed goal and the subsequent Dallas goal.  On Brendan Lemieux’s game.  On Lemieux showing restraint (when Bishop hit him).  On the Jets gap control.
