The Jets hit the ice this morning at the MTS Centre as they come off their bye week with a tall hill to climb currently sitting five points back of St. Louis (who have two games in hand) for the second Wild card spot.  According to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: Ondrej Pavelec, Toby Enstrom, Andrew Copp and Marko Dano are in regular uniforms.

Line rushes according to Ken are:

D pairs are:

Melchiori is an extra and Trouba has one game left on his suspension.

Drew Stafford:  On his name being mentioned as trade bait.  Has he talked to the GM or coach about what he would prefer to have happen?  After signing a two-year deal would he prefer to see it through?  What will it take to be sharp coming out of the break?  How much did the team need the bye week?  How does he asses where they are at with 19 games remaining?

Patrik Laine:  How was the bye week for him and does he feel refreshed?  On the challenge of being sharp today.  How much did he need the break?

Bryan Little:  How was the bye week break for him?  How much did he watch the standings during the bye week?  Being five out is it fair to say they control their own destiny?  With trade deadline upcoming would he like to see Cheveldayoff make a move?  If the GM stands pat, what kind of message does that mean to him?  What will it take to come out of the bye week the way they went into it?

Coach Maurice:  Updates on injured players.  Evaluating where they are right now.  On the big move that Minnesota made and his feelings on Wednesday.  How many of the 19 games do they have to win to put themselves into a position to be a playoff team?  On the goals against, how can they make progress?  Have they stopped trying to “outscore their mistakes”?  Update on Pavelec?  Where is Hellebuyck’s game at?  Would the five day break impact a goalie more than anyone else?  Update on Myers?
