Winnipeg Free Press: Byfuglien gets no love in Philly. Flyers fans should be quite welcoming although you have to imagine that at noon they might not be as rowdy as they are in the evening.
Winnipeg Free Press: D-zone coverage improving. Getting back to a healthy D core probably has something to do with any improvement.
Winnipeg Free Press: Isles anthem singer apologizes for flub. Good for her for making the apology but it was obviously just a mistake and nothing she needs to be vilified over.
Winnipeg Sun: Thorburn contributing despite not having any points for Jets. He keeps the team loose on and off the ice and his role isn’t really intended as one to put the points on the board although he has been known for a highlight or two. Ken also looks at the impact Jacob Trouba is having just two games into his return from injury, Scheifele streaking and some other notes.
Winnipeg Sun: Coach Claude Noel trying to keep up the intensity. I have no problem with coach Noel putting the players through the paces in practice. This team still has a lot to prove and simply winning two games isn’t enough to suddenly start taking time off.
Winnipeg Sun: Hooky day in Winnipeg. Good to see some employers are being smart and giving their employees the opportunity to watch the game.
CBC: Tangradi heads home for American Thanksgiving. Sounds like the Pennsylvania native had a good opportunity to head home for a quick holiday visit.
Illegal Curve: Coach Claude Noel scrum from Wells Fargo Center. Why did he stop practice? What was his take on captain Ladd’s response? Trying to avoid complacency? Different game in Philly as a result of AM game? What are keys to guys getting going in early AM game? Maintenance day for Enstrom. Confidence in 4th line. What did he think of the Stuart/Ellerby pairing?
Philadelphia Daily News: After two losses, Flyers look to regroup. Philly will be looking to re-group after two tough losses in Florida and looking for some revenge after a 3-2 shootout loss to the Jets back on November 15th.
CSN Philadelphia: Is morning matchup cause for concern for Flyers? It is likely going to be just as unusual for the Jets as it is for the Flyers. Might not be the cleanest 1st period of hockey.
