Jets news:

CBC:  In the Room with Jacob Trouba (video).  CBC’s Mitch Peacock chats with Winnipeg Jets rookie defenceman Jacob Trouba about his impressive performance in the team’s regular season opener against the Edmonton Oilers.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets players believe hockey needs fighting.  The twitterverse was abuzz today with debate going back and forth over fighting’s place in hockey.

Winnipeg Sun:  Bogosian says fighting should always be a part of hockey.  Players seemed pretty universal in there conviction that this is an integral part of the game.

TSN:  Jets open season with first visit to Edmonton since 1996.  Missed this by Dennis earlier today as he returns to the TSN blog to kick off the Jets season.  Lots of insight as per usual.
