Hey IC boys, I was wondering what you guys think the Jets are going to do with their 22 man roster? Bottom 6 specifically, the Jets have Thorburn and Peluso who are kind of the same player, but taking up two spots with 1 way deals. Then they have a guy in Halischuk who can add more scoring on a 2 way deal. What’s the point of having two “enforcers” on your 22 man roster? You’d think having Halischuk interchanging with one of the two enforcers would be the best option. Is Thorburn the odd man out? is he trade bait for a team looking to add toughness to their bottom 6?

same style question with the D. I know that Trouba can go down to St. Johns but I think most Jets fans expect him to be around the big club all year. If Trouba is the 7th dman (Stuart/Postma as bottom pairing) then whats the point of having Pardy on a 1 year deal? you’re telling me you couldnt get this guy on a 2 way deal? maybe it’s a moot point and he can clear waivers, but still.
makes me think that there are a move or two still on the horizon.

Good questions. There is a glut of bottom six players and it is too early to know how the Jets are gonna play it out.

It is going to be quite the September to Remember as fans get to see more depth in the organization competing for a limited number of spots.

Thanks ICDave for answering my post. I was just looking at the Vegas odds to win the cup and if you go by what they think then the Jets should make the playoffs as the 8th seed with a 40/1 chance to win. They are actually tied with Mini who would technically be the 7th seed. obviously this doesnt mean that much in the big picture, but what it does mean is Vegas believes the Jets are a playoff team.
    thought it was interesting.

I think it’s a 23 man roster , also Halischuk might play 3rd line with Frolik and either Scheifele or Jokinen
