Note II: The 2013 Scotiabank NHL Draft Lottery to be held at 7 pm. While the Jets chances are fairly nonexistent to grab the first selection overall, the guys will cut to the selection process during tonight’s show to let you know if the Jets are moving on up.
TSN: A busy summer before switching divisions. Dennis with a comprehensive look back at the season and a look at what is ahead for the Winnipeg Jets.
Winnipeg Free Press: Have better lotto odds than 6/49 buyers. The chance is 0.8% which is fairly unlikely but crazier things have happened.
Winnipeg Free Press: Guy with ‘C’ the MVP. He took his game to another level this season. The Free Press writers (Lawless, Tait and Campbell) hand out their end of season awards.
Winnipeg Sun: Lotto chances for Jets are slim to none. Kirk gives a pretty detailed explanation of the process including the process in which a team has a ball in the draw which represents 80% of one ball. As I indicated above be sure to have your radios set to 1290 as the guys will bring you up to speed on tonight’s results.
Winnipeg Sun: Five Jets questions that need answers. Ken takes a look at five questions including whether Buff should be traded, Jokinen and the potential for an amnesty buyout, moving up in the draft, Pavelec’s backup and whether Enstrom can kick the injury bug.
Winnipeg Sun: Captain Ladd to compete at world hockey championship in Sweden and Finland. Based on the season he had his selection was a no-brainer. The only impediment to his playing on the team was if he had decided to take some time off from hockey. Luckily for Team Canada he will be joining the squad and giving Jets fans something to cheer about.
Winnipeg Sun: Crown corporations still getting Jets tickets. Where do you stand on the issue of public companies having tickets? An interesting conversation for the public to have although it is a shame that it seems have been initiated on the basis of political motivation.
Jets prospect news:
OHL: Barrie Colts vs. Belleville Bulls Game 7. The stage is set as Mark Scheifele and his Colts try not to blow their 3-1 series lead. The other Jets prospect in the series Austen Brassard will try and complete the comeback and send the Bulls to the OHL finals against the London Knights.
