Maybe he’s avoiding such discussions for the sake of not creating bad blood with the fans? Either way, I can’t imagine him no longer being a Jet. Hope they re-sign him!

The hesitation on both sides and the long time it’s taking to get this deal done makes me concerned about Kane’s love for this city and his interest in playing here. I’m not questioning it.. I would love to believe he’s a passionate Jet and wants to be the face of this franchise and in a position where he could announce he’s running for Premiere of this province, and be elected the next day. However – the delay is concerning. I love him, and I hope he stays.

If a new one miraculously gets signed in the next 2 days, he’ll see it before it gets signed, know the details, and know whether it is more worthwhile to sign under the current CBA or wait for a new contract offer under the up and coming CBA….
