Winnipeg Free Press: Bogo a no-go for 4-6 months. In case you missed the news yesterday, the Jets will be without the services of Bogoisan for quite some time this year.

CBA news:

Toronto Sun: NHL trade, contract talks on hold. With so much uncertainly it seems most teams are happy to stand pat until more is known about the status of the CBA.

Edmonton Journal: It’s time for players to cut a deal and let NHL owners run their own businesses. Adler makes some very good points in his latest piece.

Los Angeles Times: NHL good at getting labor negotiations wrong. The NHL could be reaching unprecedented heights in the U.S. but is rolling the dice that a lockout won’t adversely impact the recent success.

The Hockey News: Total parity not the best solution for NHL. Would you prefer the NHL have more parity like the NFL or is the current system working?

NHL news:

NHL.com: Messier supports Bronx hockey complex proposal. Always good to see development of these types of venues in major population centers.

Detroit Free Press: Wings’ focal point – D Brendan Smith. The Wings lost a lot of defence this off season. Not only do you need to replace one of the greatest defenceman ever, but also a solid guy like Brad Stuart.

Not a complaint, just an observation. Why is it that some of the links on IC’s pages open in new tabs, while others open in the existing tab? Are the different opening formats done with intent?

I always try and have the articles open as new tabs but occasionally forget to hit the button to ensure that this happens. Will try and be better in future. Thanks for the comment.
