Here is my list, but I believe I will call it the ‘Top 5 Home Games Ally Wishes She Could Go To:
5: Sunday, February 17th, 2013 – The Montreal Canadians. As this was the first team I saw play at the MTS Centre, I would love the opportunity to see them lose in Winnipeg.
4. Monday, December 31st, 2012 – The Tampa Bay Lightning. New Years Eve did appear to be a rocking time to at a Jets game last year, and I expect this season to bring much of the same. Also, Tampa may be my new home by this time next year…
3. Saturday, April 6th, 2013 – The Philadelphia Flyers. As this is still a great conference rivalry, for at least one more season, I would relish the chance to be apart of the crowd that jumps all over Bryzgolav.
2. Monday, February 13, 2013 – The Phoenix Coyotes. For nostalgic reasons, as a former Coyotes season ticket holder, I want to see, in person, the Jets beat up on the ‘Yotes. Alternatively, lets say this could potentially be a Nordiques game, and iIdon’t want to miss that either.
1. Saturday, October 13th, 2012 – The Carolina Hurricanes. Because I was at the first game last season, and I see no reason why I should miss the first game this season. Oh, and the chance to see the Staal line, duh.

No Wings game, you will notice. The desire to fall back and root for my number 1 team is too strong, and if there is anything I have learned, it’s that you don’t wear an opposing teams jersey in the MTS Centre. Even if you are Ally K

5) Hurricanes- Saturday, Oct 13- Home opener + Staal brothers + division rival = good match up
4) Lightning- Monday, Dec 31- I echo Zak’s sentiments
3) Blackhawks- Tuesday, Oct 16- You can’t miss Jonny Toews!
2) Canucks- Saturday, Feb 9- Hockey Day in Canada game!
1) Penguins- Saturday, Dec 15- As a Pens fan (now, second fave team) this game is a must, especially since we were unable to see Mr. Crosby in action at MTS Centre last season

Went to the New Years Eve game last season, and I gotta say, it was a blast. Not just because the Jets won but the crowd was clearly in the mood to party either way.

It would be great once the divisions get realigned if the New Years Eve game became a tradition between the Jets and a division rival (Wild?) similar to the Bombers’ Banjo Bowl against the Riders.
