Omaha World-Herald:  Assistant Brian Renfrew has left UNO to join the Winnipeg Jets.  Second time in under a week that UNO is making noise with the Jets, as this time the team has reportedly hired Renfrew to be part of the scouting team.

Toronto Sun:  Bertuzzi trial put on hold until new yearThe wheels of justice don’t always move very fast and eight years later, it appears that getting the trial started won’t be happening for awhile.  Report suggests Coyotes buyer $20 million shy of necessary fundsOf course the NHL still feels that a deal will be completed, but a deal with whom?  While we know that deadlines don’t mean much in the desert, how much longer can the NHL allow this process to drag on?

Edmonton Journal:  Was Jordan Eberle’s success last season something of a mirageWill his production fall from last season?  Looking at the numbers you would believe so but numbers don’t tell the entire story so we will have to wait and see.
