Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers
TSN: Play of the Year 2012. Hurry there isn’t much time left and the Senators fans have been awake an hour earlier than those of us based in the Central Time Zone. When last I checked, it appeared that Pavelec had things well in hand (he was at 53.64% to Spezza’s 46.36%).
Stanley Cup news:
Star-Ledger: One Devilish situation has this group believing.
Star-Ledger: Devils keep level head, look to fight back against Kings.
General NHL news:
Montreal Gazette: City’s hockey guru calls its a career, setting off the siren after almost six decades of covering all things Habs. When your hockey knowledge stretches back as far as Red Fisher’s does you have some pretty amazing stories to tell and he has done this better than most for the past half century.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Davidson continues to explore options. Wouldn’t the Blue Jackets be lucky if they could see a similar turnaround with their club if the former Hall of Fame broadcaster heads East. When he arrived in St. Louis the Blues finished the 2006 season with 57 points compared to this year where they finished with 109 points.
Globe and Mail: Bizzarre OT winner in Calder Cup should have been disallowed. Never like to see a game winning goal which it is later determined should not have counted.
TSN: Goldwater Institute looks to halt Glendale vote on Coyotes. When will this merry-go-round end?
