CBC:  Talking Winnipeg Jets.  They are 20 minutes into the Jets chat with Craig Simpson of Hockey Night in Canada.  Jump in to talk Jets hockey now.

TSN:  Jets’ road trip comes to an end on losing note.  Dennis takes a look at the Jets 7 game road trip.

Arctic Ice:  The home town team.  It is absolutely amazing what the return of the NHL has done for this city.  I have spoken with guys who stopped caring about NHL hockey in 1996 and now all they can do is talk Jets, Jets, Jets.  And you see it at the various arenas full of fans who don’t live in Manitoba but wear their Jets gear with pride.

Jets Nation:  Jets return home after confidence building road trip.  If the MTS Centre is going to prove to be a difference maker we will learn that soon enough as the  Jets are playing 17 of their next 23 games at home.

Yahoo Sports:  Tanner Glass bloodies Cody McCormick, gets Gordie Howe hat trick.  Not sure Glass initiated this fight to get the “Gordie Howe hat trick’ but whatever the rationale, the fight was a doozy.

Jets next opposition news – Florida Panthers:

Toronto Sun:  Panthers tearing up the East.  The Jets are going to need to bring their ‘A’ game on Thursday night when these Panthers roll into the Peg’.

The Rat Trick:  Gudbranson scratched for 3rd straight game.  Perhaps it speaks to the depth of the surprising Panthers.

  • IMHO, I think McCormick’s cut was caused by his head hitting the ice at the end of the fight

sorry Jermaine, but did you watch the game? McCormick was fighting with a cut on his head.

  • Yup after looking at the video again, I was wrong.  McCormick’s face was red with blood before he fell to the ice.
