Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets bolster coaching ranksI’m sure we will be hearing more from these 3 new coaches as the press conference is taking place at the MTS Centre right now.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:  Minor schedule change vs. JetsNice of the Pens to accommodate ‘Hockey Day in Canada’.

Around the NHL:

CBC:  Blackhawks Kane has fractured wrist Luckily they discovered it now and he can rehab it during July and August.

Montreal Gazette:  Labatt headed back to court in fight for NHL sponsorshipI’m sure most fans only care about one thing, that whichever side wins this battle, lowers the price of drinks.

Fox Sports Detroit:  New Red Wing might honor vintage computerThis belongs in the Heinz Ward wanting to be #57 for the Steelers category.  Pretty funny.

The new players coming to Winnipeg are going to love Huddy and Flaherty, two guys that have tons of experience and championship success on their resumes. Great to see Borgford officially get hired by TNSE too.

I’m still wondering where Rick St. Croix fits in with Flaherty becoming goalie coach, anyone know?

The biggest move here though, is Huddy.  Atlanta had a solid set of defencemen and yet they bled goals all over the place last season.  They lacked effective coaching and Huddy will give them that.  I can see us having a pretty decent defence this season, which will give Pavelec a lot more confidence in goal knowing that he won’t be left hanging.
