The Winnipeg Jets playing the Phoenix Coyotes at home. Not necessarily the home opening. We could do ‘dress like a seat’ night to make them feel at home here in Winnipeg.

Who would object to seeing the Winnipeg Phoenix play the Phoenix Coyotes in the first regular season NHL game at the MTS Centre

Wouldn’t mind opening night at home against the Oilers on HNIC. I think a geographic rivalry with Minnesota is probably dependent on how divisional realignment works for the 2012-2013 season.

Wouldn’t mind it being the Wild, but the home opener is almost certainly going to be on CBC, so I have a feeling they will have some say in it. Expect a Canadian team, probably Toronto, Montreal, or the Oilers.
