John, I think cap hell is an more of an issue if you have your cap money locked into players who aren’t your top guns. Whether or not Thornton/Heatley/Marleau can take the Sharks to the promised land is one issue, but Doug Wilson obviously thinks they can and at least he has money locked up in his big players–it is better than the alternative.

Really well thought out analysis of the trade. I agree that both teams did well.

I think that San Jose is going to have a crazy amount of scoring talent this season. I expect Heatley to step up in this post season.
