Hiring Pat Quinn. Very good move. About time for one. Good note to exit on, Ron. It was time for MacT to go, and it‘s time for Mr. Lowe to go. He’s not married to that Recall guy’s daughter is he?
On the plus side, Rob Schrempf looks to be finally getting a chance to play. It’s on Long Island, but now we’ll finally see if he’s got it. I think he does. Hope so.
I guess everyone knows what happened last time Khabibulin went to a new team…
And yet, I’ve still got a soft spot in my heart for the Oilers.
P.S. Mike Comrie?

I wish I knew really. Lowe was quoted (yesterday, I believe) saying that maybe Quinn was going to roll 3 scoring lines…

Thats all well and good until you need to stop someone else from scoring, or when you go on the road. I mean, if you are up 2-1 with a minute left, who do you throw over the boards?

I figure a trade is coming, a quantity for quality type deal.

Great preview Rusty.

Why do you think the Oilers have brought on so many players of a similar type? It seems (from reading Oilers fans complaints) that there is a redundancy at smallish forward, so what gives?

Good article, I enjoyed it, well thought out and not unrealistic. I just hope Quinn makes this his 16th playoff team in 18 seasons behind the bench.
