Afternoon Delight: Saskatoon Berries

  • The Hockey Observer talks Bobby Clarke. Also a comment on the transfer issue here.
  • Barry Melrose Rocks advocates for an NHL team in Saskatoon.  I for one support the addition of the Saskatoon Berries to the NHL.
  • Greatest Hockey Legends discusses Team Chemistry and how this will affect Canada’s entry at the Olympics. I think Canada has a leg up in this area as the players are more willing to accept any role given to them, and many have been through the World Junior experience.
  • A collection of photos from Psycho Lady Hockey’s travels in pursuit of the game. Looks like fun. Give the IC guys a call next time.
  • Justin Bourne blogs on the social life of hockey players. I would imagine this is pretty prevalent given that the players are young and relatively affluent.
  • The NHL Network is looking at adding a pre-game show to their lineup.
  • Mother Pucker Hockey says Jarome Iginla should get the C for Team Canada. Pretty tough to argue with this one, but there are several natural leaders coming to camp.

Yeah there are quite a few leaders showing up, but I still think that Iginla is the best of the group. If he wasn’t there who’d you pick?

My choice would be Iginla as well.

  • Kyle

Iginla would certainly be my choice off the bat, but I think it would be wise to see how camp progresses on the chance that someone grabs the leadership and runs with it.
