Also, I’m basing a possible signing on him not being able to sign for anything more than $3 million maximum. The market probably maxes out at that price right now.

They’ve got a team budget of ~$45 million that they’re sticking to, and still have some RFA’s to re-sign (Ryan Jones and Cal O’Reilly). I just don’t see Zherdev’s likely salary fitting into that scenario, to say nothing of the personal side. A mercurial dandy who thinks he’s worth $4.75 million? I’ll pass…
