• In sad news, Mike Foligno’s wife passed away on Tuesday.
• Carolina has bought out the final year of Frantisek Kaberle’s $2.2 million contract.
• The Blue Jackets have signed netminder Dan LaCosta to a one-year, two-way contract.
• Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News profiles Stars winger Jere Lehtinen.
• The Red Wings have signed former Flyers defenseman Andy Delmore to a one-year, two-way contract.
• The Wings’ signing of Delmore does not mean the team is done looking for players in free agency.
• Meanwhile, Wings defenseman Andreas Lilja is still suffering from post-concussion symptoms.
• Apparently the Oilers have still not rescinded their offer to the Senators for Dany Heatley, notes Jim Matheson.
• Are two other teams intersted in Heatley too?
• George Richards tells us that Randy Sexton will most likely remain GM of the Florida Panthers.
• The Molsons have secured alternative financing in their purchase of the Canadiens, after the CIT Group walked away from their commitment.
• Paul Holmgren and the Flyers management have not yet made a decision on whether to sign free agent defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen.
• “When I think back at hockey I think I am most associated with the Philadelphia Flyers,” said John LeClair upon finding out he was named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
• People in Phoenix are worried about what will happen if the Coyotes play games in Saskatoon and Halifax, writes Carrie Watters. 
• Meanwhile, Bob Young of the Arizona Republic thinks the plan to play games elsewhere may actually work.
• Well, if Jerry Reinsdorf does get control of the Coyotes at least Darren Abate will receive the $48 dollars owed to him by the Coyotes franchise.
• Sidney Crosby should have a nice 22nd birthday party.
• “I’d like to add another top-six forward, one that adds a little different chemistry, a little more speed,” said Lightning GM Brian Lawton. 
• The Bolts’ intention to buy out of Vinny Prospal was made official yesterday.
• Here is a list of the Lightning’s signed players for next season.
• Leafs fans are putting together a petition to have the team’s old logo returned to the front of Leafs jerseys.
• Brian Burke has been earning his salary this month with his activity.
• In good news, it looks like no hard feelings came from the Canucks/Kyle Wellwood arbitration hearing.
• The Capitals and Milan Jurcina could not come to an agreement prior to yesterday’s arbitration hearing.
