What team beat writers are saying early this afternoon:

Stanley Cup Final

  • Curtis Zupke of the OC Register with five thoughts on the Final so far.  I think Fleury gets more flack than is warranted.
  • Ever heard of the Dave Dye jinxThe Wings better hope Dye starts writing about something else for the rest of this series…
  • Some great pictures from in and around Game 3, courtesy of Seth Rorabaugh.  Lots of good stuff there.

Everyone else

  • Here are some details on the Panthers sale.  Is Tony Tavares everywhere these days? How many teams is he rumored to be running?
  • Has Serge Savard pulled away from his original interest of purchasing the Habs?  More importantly, are the Habs even for sale?!?!?!?!

I guess this means Tony T wasn’t going to be involved in the Coyotes purchase with Jerry Reinsdorf.

  2. Richard says:

    I guess so. Odd stuff.

  3. Benjamin Jamison says:

Those are some good pictures from Seth Rorabaugh. Gotta love the guy wearing a Doug Weight Oilers jersey to the game. Great atmosphere outside Mellon Arena.
