Do I think Hiller’s in the Wings head? Not really. He’s been solid but as was reported in the morning papers part of the problem is the Wings not playing their style of game. Once Holmstrom returns to the front of the net, we will see if the problems continue for the Wings.

Saucer:
not sure I agree with you or Cali on this one. I agree that the Ducks aren’t a pushover but I feel that Babcock will have the troops ready for battle tonight. Wings 5 Ducks 2 is what I said last night on the Illegal Curve radio show. (although I’m not sure the score will be that high).

thanks for the suggestions. We always appreciate reader input and those are all things we will be incorporating into the site to make it more user friendly. I too think something is wrong with Datsyuk as he is not playing with the same dominance as he did during the regular season (although he has shown flashes, i.e. playing keep away from Niedermyer last night).

As I said to Saucer I think the Wings just have too much firepower to go down to the Ducks tonight. Plus I would lose my hockey pool so that’s never a good thing.

Pavel Datsyuk must be hurt. He doesn’t shoot at all. Where is his wicked wristshot? And his snapshot? Not shooting THIS season is not a slump. Last year and before he passed too often when he could have shot, but not this year. He passes ALL the time, especially on taking a shot! His power hand/arm must be injured. 3 points in ten games? Are you kidding me? On that power play? Apparently Babcock had a heart to heart with him on the plane coming back from California but if he isn’t hurt why did he wait for game 7?

Suggestion: make a comment bar after each section of a long post like Morning Papers.

Suggestion: enable the comment section with bold, italics and underline. Using caps is the only option your readers have except !@#$%^& and that’s a bit dated. PLEASE NOT THOSE @#$%^&* EMOTICON THINGS!!!

Suggestion: make your archives more accessible. Newcomers wanting to browse to get a sense of your site over the season have to do a lot of #$%^& previous clicking.

Great site though.

Is it too much to ask for wins by Boston and Anaheim do you think?

Would be great to see the Hossa deprived Penguins move on and the Hossa graced Wings go golfing!

The Caps looked like District 5 last night before Coach Bombay showed up. Their passing wasn’t crisp, they were lazy in their own zone and lacked any sort of tenacity in their game.

It was a terrible way to see a series of that magnitude end. Home ice advantage in game 7 is an awfully powerful thing to have in your corner and the Caps just were not up to the challenge.

The Caps are a far better hockey team than we saw last night but I think the inexperience finally caught up with them. The one thing the Pens have are impact players like Gonchar, Sykora and Guerin who have been around the block a few times and know how to deal with playoff hockey.

The good news for the Caps is that their team will look almost the same next year with Feds and Kozlov being the only two major signings the team needs to take care of in the off-season.

I like Calihockey’s statement above. Ducks with the upset tonight. It’ll kinda be like the “Stunner at Staples” series when LA knocked off the Wings; 4-3 Ducks. Pronger gets the game winner.
