How good is Ryan Getzlaf?

Here is his playoff line so far:

Games played: 8

Goals: 3

Assists: 10

Points: 13 (most points in the playoffs)

Time-on-ice per game: 25:51 (most ice-time for a forward)

Penalty minutes: 17

Well, for all the publicity Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin and Datsyuk get, has there been a better forward this playoffs than Ryan Getzlaf?  He plays on a dominant line and gets matched up against the other team’s top defenders each night.  Unlike Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin and Datsyuk, he doesn’t have any kind of secondary scoring options on his team to take the pressure off.  This guy plays big defense-like minutes, is physical and continues to produce at almost two points-per-game.  In my opinion, he’s been the best player in the playoffs bar none.

Getzlaf should be the 2nd line center on team Canada in 2010

Was just saying the same thing the other day. He has earned that right with his play.
