Here are the morning papers for Thursday the 15th of January:

It looks more and more to me like Lucic has a concussion. Quotes from him in the Globe sure could be interpreted that way.

The Sens could use Klesla. Cory Murphy too?

Perfect timing for Jack Johnson with Doughty hurting.

I hope Tim Connolly can finally lose the “Mr. Glass” nickname — when healthy he’s so good. Martin Havlat seems to have conquered his IR woes at last — when was the last season he played in 41 games by January 15th?

    Bob,

Havlat’s injury woes have been conquered because of these four words: Pending Unrestrictred Free Agent.

Agree on the Cory Murphy front, but I don’t know what they’d give up for Klesla.

That bit on Havlat was tongue-in-cheek: he did play at least 68 games per season for four of his years with the Sens, though. And let’s be fair: he did finally have surgery to repair his shoulder and that ended last season early for him. As for the groin problems; well anyone could name lots of players who’ve missed substantial times with those. I think he really wants to stick with the Hawks (who wouldn’t — now?), though of course a big payday would be nice too. I think he sees ring possibilities there before too long. He could be right. Playoff runs soon at least, I think.

Where’s your consistency with picks in the pick-em? Sprained wrist? Come on — show us what you got! It’s a great contest.
