- Roberto Luongo (abductor strain) is listed by the Canucks as being week-to-week. The original word was five weeks so this injury isn’t minor. Obviously it is a huge blow to the Canucks.
- Joe Sakic will miss tonight’s game for the Avalanche because of a root canal. For a guy who has missed the past couple games with a back injury and was slated to return tonight, he just can’t catch a break.
- Stars winger Steve Ott (broken hand) will be out of the line-up for the next month. Now Sean Avery can have the pest spotlight all to himself.
- Pierre LeBrun’s take on today’s St. Louis-Toronto trade. As I said earlier today, I like this deal for St. Louis.
- James Mirtle has Cliff Fletcher’s perspective on the deal for the Globe & Mail. Candid comments by Fletcher.
- Darren Eliot says the Canucks and Bruins are the two most pleasant surprises this season. Agreed.
