Here are the morning papers for Saturday the 15th of November:

Forget the O/U on Hartsburg — run me up some numbers for who will be traded, to which team(s), for whom, and what type of deal it’ll be (1 for 1, and cash, and picks, 3 way…).

Brett may not be ready to blow up the Stars, but if the Islanders run the Sens out of the rink tonight (and a quick goal or two early could open the gates)…Could Barry be just the opening salvo?

The Sens don’t have any Cups to look back on like Dallas, let alone a solid playoff run last year but there is a ton of pressure in Ottawa…and Eugene doesn’t seem like the most patient of men right now…

I’m almost hoping they will lose big — I’d love to see a blockbuster deal to really shake things up, and not just in Ottawa. Think of the shockwaves if Spezza, or Heatley, or…

Big deals can be made if the will to make them is there. The dreaded cap is not an obstacle which cannot be overcome if both sides (or all three corners!) are motivated. I’d say there are some motivated hands at the table and at least three wild cards I can think of without thinking very hard…

    OR

… Auld (or Gerber for that matter) shuts out the Isles, and Heater gets the hat, while Jason and Alfie have 4 point nights…and the pressure is vented for a while…

    We shall see.

Hear hear Bob. Ottawa needs to blow it up big time. Trade Spezza. Get some quality players, and build a little depth. Their time as a one line team has passed.
