- As alluded to by Richard in the morning papers, TSN is reporting that the Senators have called a news conference where it is expected they will announce the Alfredsson extension. Good deal for the Sens.
- The Blueland Blog says that Zach Bogosian’s injury is actually a fractured fibula, and he will be out indefinitely. Bad bews for the Thrashers. We wish Bogosian a speedy recovery.
- Evgeni Nabokov is happy with the change in attitude he sees in San Jose. Is this the year?
- Eric Gwinn of the Chicago Tribune offers up a guide for new Blackhawk fans. A pretty good guide to the basics, but a shame that a once proud hockey town had to resort to this.
- Ryan Kennedy, who does an excellent job writing about prospects, profiles the hockey program at Notre Dame in Wilcox, SK. Its an excellent program that puts a competitive product on the ice despite using players that are often much younger than the average SJHL’er.
- Mike Toth writes that the Toronto Marlies offer some good hockey for a good price. Its too bad the Marlies don’t draw more fans.
- Check out Round 2 of Going 5 Hole’s Best Captain in the NHL tourney. Really? Roberto Luongo? Really?
