- Anze Kopitar signed a seven year contract extension today for $47.6 million. Almost every young star in the league is signing long term for big money these days. At $6.8 per season against the cap, the Kings are only raising the salary bar once again.
- Luckily Bryan McCabe didn’t break his back last night and is listed as day-to-day. A sigh of relief for all Panthers fans.
- Calgary’s possible line combinations for tonight’s game versus Vancouver. Will probably change throughout the game.
- Nigel Dawes is a healthy scratch for the Rangers tonight. He just hasn’t been producing.
- Jose Theodore is expected to get the start tonight for the Capitals. Can’t be any worse than last night…At least that’s what Caps fans are telling themselves.
