  • Tickets for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics go on sale tomorrowHow much you think scalpers will ask for the Men’s Hockey Final? Over/under 5k?
  • Sean Avery doesn’t like Don CherryAnd most people don’t like Sean Avery…
  • The NHL is going to watch any Brian Burke dealings with the Maple Leafs very closely.  Burke isn’t going to try and benefit the Leafs with an eye on a future job with the club.
  • The Ducks roster is basically set for the 2008/09 season. The Ducks will still be depending on the same core they have for the past few seasons.
  • Who says hockey commentators are boring? That is an outspoken group that they put together for yesterday’s conference call.
  • The Stars, concerned about all the injuries the team has suffered on defense, have picked up Doug Janik off waivers from Chicago. Janik isn’t going to be the answer in Dallas but they don’t have many better options right now.
  • Martin St. Louis and Andrej Meszaros have been named alternate captains in Tampa.  These are just titles.  This team has about five-to-seven born leaders in the dressing room.
  • Are the Capitals thinking of playing Sergei Fedorov on defense? With Backstrom and Nylander up the middle (both better than Fedorov) and a weak defense, it is something to consider.
  • James Mirtle with his season predictions and boy are some people angryI thought they were pretty interesting actually.
  • Ross McKeon of Yahoo! with ten things to look out for in 2008/09.  He likes the Capitals to win the Cup.  I, on the other hand, certainly do not.

I like Avery playing for Dallas. (Or had you already gathered that?)

Are the Caps shopping Nylander? Are the Hawks kicking his tires?

Too bad everyone seems so slow to realize that those who label others (such as our James) “a knob” or “an idiot” (note our polite James here) for their opinions are just such completely superior beings in every way that everyone should wake up and be grateful to be favoured with their wisdom and all-around beneficence.

    I certainly am. Aren’t you?

Too bad their passion is not for the game but rather for making personal attacks anonymously from behind a cool web name.
