According to the Detroit Free Press, Nicklas Lidstrom did not go anything crazy with the Cup this off-season.
The Islanders announced the hiring of Scott Gordon as the team’s new head coach last night, and Greg Logan of Newsday has all the details. The Islanders made the right hire, opines Mark Herrmann of Newsday. Meanwhile, Logan thinks franchise goaltender Rick DiPietro should be extremely happy with this decision.
The Oilers have decided to hold their rookie tournament in Camrose, Alberta.
